Our Story

Let Your Weird Light Shine Bright.....

Here at Bobby Trouble we want you to embrace your unique style and accessorize your look without having to spend a small fortune!

Bobby Trouble, a Newcastle-Australia based label, started when designer Alice Turnbull couldn't find jewellery that suited her own rockabilly/punk/pinup girl mash-up style. She started designing and handcrafting jewellery she loved and discovered that others loved it too! She was a little bit excited and a lot humbled to learn this.

Since then Alice's collections have expanded to incorporate hair accessories, handbags and purses, and even a giftware collection of quirky home décor and kitchenware.

Always budget-conscious, Alice understands that money doesn't grow on trees so you'll find a vast collection of Rockabilly, Vintage, Pinup Girl, Day of the Dead and Psychobilly inspired pieces that you'll actually be able to afford. Winning!

Meet The Designer

Meet designer and creator of Bobby Trouble, Alice Turnbull.  A self-taught jewellery designer, she's been bringing her own creations to life for over 14 years.

Alice started incorporating her love of all things Rockabilly into her jewellery designs about 7 years ago. A self-confessed Mid-Century enthusiast, she loves working with classic Rockabilly imagery and adding a splash of modern day style to create pieces that are classy, fun, creative and a little bit cheeky. She also loves creating vintage Hollywood Glamour pieces, as well as working with the vibrant colours of traditional Day of the Dead and contemporary Psychobilly. Her Rockabilly jewellery collections are designed and handcrafted right here in Australia.

Alice is constantly pushing herself creatively and loves challenging her own ability. She is always looking for new materials to work with but also loves taking vintage pieces and upcycling them to a more modern-day look.

Alice says "Inspiration is everywhere, you just need to open your eyes to see it"!
